About the event
Mama Earth Speak: An Open Mic for Nubian moms we will have Live Music, Poetry, Food, Drank & Community Connection to celebrate and support Minnesota's Black mothers.
Juneenteenth weekend reminds us to celebrate the freedom our ancestors worked for us to have. Celebrating our freedom means preparing for a bountiful future by supporting our children. Supporting our children starts with the supporting the mothers.
Nubian Moms is an organization dedicated to providing a personal care navigator and support African American mothers who often have high risk pregnancies, postpartum depression and/or premature births in Minnesota. This community celebration will help raise money for programming and resources for Nubian Moms and the mothers they serve. We will also bring awareness to birth equity and its intersectionlity with environemental justice here in Minnesota.
So come thru! Be ready to connect, groove, play and advocate. Every dollar spent in the space will go toward…
